According to the latest statistics of the Iranian Steel Manufacturers Association, the apparent consumption of intermediate steel in the first quarter of this year has increased by 10.5% compared to the same period last year. Also, during this period, the apparent consumption of all steel products has increased by 3.6% and the apparent consumption of sponge iron has increased by 0.01%.
Meanwhile, during this period, the apparent consumption of intermediate steel (billets, blooms, and slabs) reached 7,375,000 tons, and this amount increased by 20.7% compared to the same period last year. The apparent consumption of slabs has also decreased by 2%.
In addition, the apparent consumption growth of flat steel sections has been announced by 3.6% and the apparent consumption growth of long steel sections by 2.8%.
